Leap Motion

The Leap Motion controller is a relatively recent technology that uses infra-red sensors to track hand movements – allowing you to use hand gestures in conjunction with the traditional peripherals (keyboard and mouse) to control your computer.
While navigating in Windows can be awkward – since the Windows interface was not designed with this sort of control in mind – there are many applications for the Leap Motion. For example: using your hands you can ‘pick up’ 3D objects inside the computer program where you manipulate and rotate them. We are getting ever closer to the ideals of technology depicted in our science fiction.
